Our task

ILLARIY adopts the modality of non-governmental development agency and is governed by the legislation in force in the country; the main headquarters of the Association is the city of Lima Peru and its scope of action applies to the entire national territory, in the urban, urban-marginal and rural sectors, being able to establish its subsidiaries and offices in any part of the country. ILLARIY's main areas of intervention are:

Human and organizational development

Men and women (children, youth, adults and the elderly) are incorporated as dynamic actors and beneficiaries of the conservation and development of natural resources. ILLARIY contributes with the communities to develop a solid cultural identity that revaluates the national wealth in natural resources, tradition, history, values, art and technology; strengthening their capacities to choose and reinforce the organizational options that allow them to reach common social objectives.

Economic Development

As an Association, we contribute with populations with fewer resources so that they have greater access to income generation that allows them to satisfy their basic needs and generate a level of development that is convenient for their community. We seek to enhance its natural resources and agricultural production, as well as its equitable and competitive articulation with the local, regional, national and international economic dynamics. We prioritize respect for ecological balance as the only way to ensure the sustainability of life.

Access to Services

ILLARIY, based on an optimal administration and use of the economic and technological resources generated and/or channeled from diverse sources of financing, contributes with the communities (farmhouse, district, province or basin), in the important and priority role regarding the organization, management, generation, administration, inspection and sustainability of the natural resources for the community development.

Organizational Development

The ILLARIY Association seeks to become an institution of recognized trajectory in the promotion of self-sustaining and autonomous development of natural resources, with its own income or from external sources that allow it to continue with the development process initiated in its areas of intervention.

Work team

Illariy has professionals committed to the development and conservation of natural resources, researchers interested in providing new knowledge in the prevention and control of animal diseases of public health importance.

SENIOR RESEARCHER

“For more than 20 years, I have been working in premier public health institutions fighting rabies globally from different angles. My line of work has spanned from applying rabies control measures in the field, development of new generation vaccines to apply innovative research for better understanding of rabies virus evolution to predict and prevent new rabies epidemics. In 2016, I had the opportunity to work with a group of renowned scientist, that ILLARIY brought together to lay out a blue print project to commence an holistic ecologically friendly fight against a chronic public and animal health problem that had remained neglected in the Western Hemisphere for decades (vampire bat transmitted rabies). Thanks to the outstanding professionalism, high technical and quality standards of ILLARIY’s specialized and administrative personnel we have an outstanding meeting that resulted in several publications in top 10 scientific journals, which will shape future policies to fight this problem and mitigate its devastating consequences more efficiently. Thank you ILLARIY for your support in making this possible.” Rabies Lab - CDC/USD
